Manta Sleep Mask Pro Review

I have been testing this sleep mask for around 10 months now. I wanted to fully test it out before writing my review on it. I also just got sent a brand new version of the same mask and there is one really welcome update I noticed on it. Let's get into the review.

Design & Durability

Manta does a fantastic job when it comes to the build quality of their products. I’ve found this mask to be no exception. They use high-quality materials all over and the eye cup foam has held up super well. The eye cups also have their own ventilation holes and mesh to ensure breathability throughout the whole mask

The materials used in this mask are top-notch. They use some pretty advanced fabrics to make up this mask. Such as Tactel® for the interior. Which is an advanced fabric that’s 2x as soft, 3x as durable, and 8x faster at drying compared to most other fabrics. Those measures are from Manta’s website but I have found them to be accurate. This mask is very soft when wearing and it stays dry. Although I don’t really have a sweaty face while I’m sleeping so I’ve never really put that to the test.

I have an older version of this mask (the one I got 10 months ago) and a brand-new version I just received from Manta. My older one had issues with weak velcro on the head strap but in this new version, they fixed that issue completely. So that is one con I would mention about the old version but it’s no longer an issue with new versions.

The edges of this mask are all finished with nice durable piping to keep any edge from fraying and the stitching is all straight and well done.

Overall, I have zero complaints about build quality or design.

Comfort & Blackout

This is an extremely comfortable sleep mask, the most comfortable sleep mask I've ever tried on in fact. The C-shaped tapered eye cups also make this an ideal mask for side sleepers. Due to the eye cups design, you can completely open your eyes while wearing this mask which is amazing. No more getting your eyes squished in while sleeping with a mask on.

And as far as blackout ability goes I have no complaints. This mask blocks out all light. You will need to adjust the eye cup spacing to fit your face structure, but once that’s done you won’t experience any light leaking in. Not even next to your nose. (That’s typically where you’ll see light bleed in other sleep masks).

This mask is also very lightweight (in a good way) which makes it very comfortable to wear even for long periods of time.

The advanced breathability carries on into the mask’s strap. It’s incredibly breathable with three different layers making up the mask strap. A soft interior and then a perforated foam layer with a mesh outer. The strap also has some smaller useful features like anti-slip gel on the back to make sure it doesn’t fall off while you’re sleeping.

Is The Manta Sleep Mask Pro Worth It?

This sleep mask is fantastic and although it’s fairly expensive I definitely think the improvements in sleep you will get makes it worth it. In my opinion, this is the best sleep mask for travel that you can buy at the moment. Yes, I am going to recommend this sleep mask and I am going to keep using mine every night and bring it on all my trips.
